Springtime in Paris: An Evening of Music and Wine

April 7, 2017 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Date: Friday, April 7
Time: 7:30PM – 10:00PM
Cost: $55 (Price does not include tax and gratuity)
Reservations become final sale on Monday, April 3.

The magical time of spring in Paris has long captivated composers and acted as inspiration for many of their songs. You might be surprised to learn that some of the favorites in the American Songbook actually started out as French songs.

On this special evening, toast to Paris and hear memorable tunes inspired by original French compositions plus beloved songs like the classic La Vie en Rose. Before Sinatra did it “My Way,” Claude François did it “Comme d’ Habitude” and Charles Trenet took a dip in “La Mer” long before Bobby Darin ventured “Beyond the Sea.” Musical guest, Fleur Seule, will transport you to a glamorous cafe on Paris’ Left-Bank. Romance is in the air and should you feel inspired, dancing is encouraged, bien sur!

Fleur Seule, led by the lovely and talented Allyson Briggs who sings in a variety of languages, will delight you with their 1940s style Swing and standards. With a repertoire covering Edith Piaf, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Dean Martin, The Andrews Sisters and many others, Fleur Seule has developed a faithful audience (that follows them to regular engagements at Tavern on The Green, The Rainbow Room and Tanner Smith’s) and we are delighted to have them appear at the Princeton Club for this very special evening.

Price includes two drink tickets for wine or beer and international cheese, fruit and nut reception. Additional food and beverages will be available for purchase.
