Taconic Golf Club
Taconic Golf Club is a prestigious and historic golf course nestled in the picturesque purple mountains of Williamstown, Massachusetts. Known for its timeless beauty and challenging layout, Taconic offers golfers a memorable experience amidst its lush fairways, undulating greens, and rolling hills. Designed by renowned architect Wayne Stiles in 1927 and later renovated in 2009, the course seamlessly blends with its natural surroundings, showcasing mature trees, sparkling ponds, and strategically placed bunkers. Golf legend, Jack Nicklaus, lays claim to a hole-in-one on the Taconic’s 14th. Former Williams Club Programs Chair, journalist, film producer, and Williams golf team captain, Paul Lieberman ’71 recounted the event in a short film linked to the left which nicely captures the legacy and beauty of the course.
