Join us for a special presentation by Marc Chandler, Global Head of Currency Strategy at Brown Brothers Harriman. Chandler, back by popular demand, will discuss his new book, The Political Economy of Tomorrow, in which he takes on established norms and assumptions related to policy, capital flows and “surplus.” He provides his unique take on the impacts of gender, changing employee-employer relationships, and shifting connections between “citizens” and “states.” Chandler will delve into the effect these factors have on the U.S. markets and world economy.

Chandler joined Brown Brothers Harriman in 2005 as the Global Head of Currency Strategy.  Previously, he was Chief Currency Strategist for HSBC Bank USA and Mellon Bank. A prolific writer and speaker, his essays have been published in the Financial Times, Barron’s, Euromoney, Corporate Finance, and Foreign Affairs. He is often called upon by newspapers and wire services for his expert opinion. Chandler holds an M.A. in American History from Northern Illinois University and a M.A. in International Political Economy from the University of Pittsburgh. He has taught International Political Economy at New York University since the early 1990’s.
