Matt Futterman, author of Players: The Story of Sports and Money and the Visionaries who fought to Create a Revolution, will present an insightful and compelling story of the athletes and business leaders who transformed sports and sports marketing into the multi-billion dollar industry that it is today. From the partnership between Arnold Palmer and legendary lawyer/agent Mark McCormack to the great Roger Staubach and baseball legend Catfish Hunter, learn how the business of sports, in a few short decades, had star athletes not only making substantial salaries, but also receiving international respect and recognition.

Matthew Futterman is a senior special writer for sports with The Wall Street Journal. He previously worked for The Philadelphia Inquirer and the Star-Ledger of New Jersey, where he was a part of the team that won the Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News in 2005. Futterman attended Union College and the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia, as well as the writing program at the University of Arkansas.
