Join fellow members for a curated tour of the astounding exhibit A World of Emotions: Ancient Greece, 700 BC – 200 AD at the Onassis Cultural Center. The exhibit, on view exclusively at the Onassis Center, brings together more than 130 masterpieces from some of the finest museums in the world and explores the ideas and attitudes of people in classical antiquity toward emotion and the ways in which the emotions were depicted, about 2,000 years before Facebook and emojis!

Developed by a team of distinguished guest curators over the course of more than four years, including Princeton’s Institute for Advanced Study Professor Angelos Chaniotis, the exhibition features vase paintings, sculptures, theatrical masks, amulets, coins, and votive offerings, among other artifacts. Many will be on view in the United States for the first time, and some pieces seen for the first time outside Greece. Please meet the group promptly at 6:30PM. The Onassis Cultural Center is located at 645 Fifth Avenue on the lower level.
