World-renowned Turkish architect, Emre Arolat, brings his unique and informed perspective to discuss the changing world view of architecture and the role of the architect in shaping the 21st century built environment. Arolat’s projects are driven by the relationship between the built and natural environment, the local culture and his invaluable knowledge and experience, combined with his intuitive creative approach to design.

Arolat comes from a long family architectural tradition and established his own firm, EAA-Emre Arolat Architecture, in Istanbul in 2004. His work has received international recognition with the RIBA International Prize for Architecture, the Aga Khan Award for Architecture and the Mies van der Rohe Award for European Architecture. He was recently the Norman R. Foster Visiting Professor at the Yale School of Architecture. He is a graduate of the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul and frequently lectures at prominent universities throughout the world.
