Williams at the Movies: The Manchurian Candidate

This summer film series celebrates notable contributions by Williams College alumni to the feature film industry. We hope to have some surprise guests along the way, and urge you to consider making an entire evening of it by enjoying a special prix fixe dinner available @ $35.00 pp++ (choose two courses) before and after the movie in the Bar & Grill.
During the movie, enjoy complimentary popcorn. A concession stand will also be available for sales of beer, wine and soda, mixed nuts, cheese plates, crudités, sliders and warm pretzels starting at 5:30.
The series will be introduced by Professor Jerry Carlson ’72, a film historian and Chair of the Department of Media & Communication Arts at The City College of The City University of New York.
June 21 – The Manchurian Candidate
Directed by John Frankenheimer ’51. A political thriller about the son of a prominent U.S. political family who is brainwashed into being a sleeper agent for a communist conspiracy to subvert the American government. This 1962 production was nominated for two Academy Awards and is considered a classic of the political thriller genre. It stars Lawrence Harvey, Frank Sinatra, and Angela Lansbury.
