Experience this exciting new production of Don Giovanni along with members of the Metropolitan Opera Club. Baritone Peter Mattei and bass-baritone Luca Pisaroni star as opera’s most notorious seducer in Mozart’s masterpiece of dark comedy. Cornelius Meister makes his Met debut conducting performances that also include sopranos Rachel Willis-Sørensen and Guanqun Yu as Donna Anna, sopranos Federica Lombardi and Susanna Phillips as Donna Elvira, and basses Ildar Abdrazakov and Adam Plachetka as Leporello.
Dinner will be at the Metropolitan Opera Club’s private club house on the Dress Circle level of the Metropolitan Opera House. The evening will begin at 6:00 PM with an appetizer and entrée, followed by the performance at 7:30 PM, with dessert and coffee served at the intermission. The performance ends at 10:55pm.
The Metropolitan Opera Club has maintained a club within the opera house since their inception in 1893. The Club’s roots are deep in tradition as evidenced by their strict dress code requirements which have also affectionately earned them the nickname of the “penguins”. In order to gain entry into the front door, guests must be properly attired in black tie and ladies must wear attire which is similarly suitable for formal occasions.
Opera tickets will be given by your server during dinner.
