Chihuly: Guided Tour at the NYBG

May 4, 2017 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Date: Thursday, May 4
Tour: 11:00AM
Cost: $32 (Price includes Entrance Fee and Guided Tour Only)

Join members as they take a guided tour of the New York Botanical Garden’s breathtaking new exhibit highlighting works of art by world-renowned American glass sculptor, Dale Chihuly. The exhibit consists of installations – created specifically for the NYBG – that will complement the Garden’s landscape and architecture. This is Chihuly’s first major NYC garden show since 2006. The show will use the Native Plant Garden and the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory Tropical Pool as the setting for the dramatic installations inspired by Chihuly’s exploration of the contrast between art and environment. This tour will require walking around the Botanical Garden’s outdoor exhibit space.

Please meet the group promptly at 11:00AM at the Visitors Center inside the Botanical Garden. Following the tour, attendees are invited to join the group for an à la carte lunch at the Pine Street Café. After lunch, attendees may continue to enjoy other areas of the Botanical Garden.

For members taking the train from Grand Central Terminal, please take the 10:25am train via the Harlem Line to the Botanical Garden Station. For members driving to the Botanical Garden, please enter at the Conservatory Gate located on Kazimiroff Blvd, just opposite the Fordham University entrance. The parking fee for the Botanical Garden is $15.00.
