Walter Isaacson, University Professor of History at Tulane, has been CEO of the Aspen Institute, Chairman of CNN and Editor of Time magazine. He is the author of several biographies including Leonardo da Vinci, Steve Jobs, Einstein: His Life and Universe, Benjamin Franklin: An American Life and Kissinger: A Biography. Isaacson is a graduate of Harvard College and Pembroke College of Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar. He is also Chair Emeritus of Teach for America, which recruits recent college graduates to teach in under-served communities.
Rebecca Newberger Goldstein is a philosopher and novelist. Her award-winning study of the philosopher Baruch Spinoza has brought the 17th century figure right into the middle of the heated contemporary debate concerning science and religion. In addition to having received the MacArthur Prize, popularly known as the “genius” award, Goldstein has received the Free-Thought Heroine by the Freedom from the Religion Foundation and the Richard Dawkins Award from the Atheist Alliance of America. She graduated from Barnard College and earned her Ph.D. in Philosophy from Princeton.
