Title: Annual Dinner with Dan Kaufman ’91
Description: Wednesday, June 26
6:00 pm cocktail reception
Cost: $59/person (includes full open bar and 3-course dinner)
Join fellow Club Members and Williams alumni as we gather for our 2013 Annual Dinner. As this year’s guest of honor, we are proud to welcome Dan Kaufman, Williams College Class of 1991.
Dan Kaufman ’91 is a “serial entrepreneur” who has founded or co-founded more than a dozen start-up companies since graduating from Williams. He currently lives in New York City, most recently focusing on real estate investing, but also continuing his work with the internet radio start-ups Jango and Radioairplay.com. In August he will be moving with his family to Paris.
Dan will talk about his experiences, lessons and misadventures from starting companies over the last 20 years, from dotcoms with 100+ employees to monopoly cable TV networks in central Asia, electronic prescriptions, LED lighting, a beer keg cooling device and many more. He will cover the highs (innovating some cool products and services, overcoming obstacles, having thousands of happy customers, and making millions of dollars) as well as the lows (losing millions of dollars, getting sued by Elliot Spitzer, and having a partner shot down in a gun battle on the mean streets of Kiev). Dan is happily volunteering to give free business advice (whatever that’s worth) to anyone who attends the dinner!
Reservations are required and can be made at firstname.lastname@example.org, or 212-697-5300. If you have any special dietary requests, please indicate so in your reservation.
